Contracted Room Block
The bride and groom enter into a signed agreement with the hotel whereby the hotel holds a certain number of rooms that the bride and groom guarantee they will fill. The advantage to the bride and groom is that rooms are held for their party. The disadvantage to the bride and groom is that they will be responsible for providing a rooming list 6 weeks prior to arrival and they will guarantee the rooms to their credit card. Also, an attrition clause is established whereby 80% of rooms held in the block will be paid for regardless if the rooms are used or not. |
